Importance of Pind Daan :-
~ The soul of the dead body does not carry the account of the deeds with it, to another world or to the next life.
The soul is with itself, the details of its actions, which is a chip (marked on the particle of carbon, and which is also called Chitra Gupta. The meaning of Chitra – picture and the meaning of Gupta – The difference of which is not known, it is a celestial action. is) and that which goes with the wind, and which is called bio-chip, after death, remains with the soul. This bio-soul is not visible to ordinary eyes and it is as big as a thumb but its thickness cannot be seen.
The details of the whole life, on the particle of carbon, air or hydrogen, whatever the creature sees, hears, speaks and thinks, gets imprinted. All the list mentioned in it, this chip gives to Yamraj. Only Yamraj can read and destroy this. Only after destroying it, Yamraj punishes the creature according to its deeds. As long as the bio-chip remains with the soul, the bio-soul cannot take on another body. When this chip is separated from the bio-soul, then the pure soul takes on a new body according to its deeds, after enjoying sorrow or happiness.
~ After death the bio-soul tries to enter the dead body. But this phantom-soul, the dead body, keeps hovering in the air near its ashes in a sad form. The phantom-soul stays in the dead place until it changes from the phantom soul to the bio-soul. Only this bio-soul is capable of going to Yamraj. Pind donation is required to convert this phantom-soul into a bio-soul. Pind Daan can be done by son, relative, or any other person.
~ This is a ritual of ten days. The body is divided into 4 parts. Two parts are offered to the five ghosts (earth, water, air, fire and sky), one part to the eunuchs and one part to the spirit-spirits. After eating this food for 9 days, the phantom-soul turns into a phantom-body, the size of which is as much as the hand of a human body, and on the tenth day it gets power. With this power it becomes ready to walk on the path till Yamraj. This road is also called the dead road.
From “Lie” given in Pind Daan :-
first day sir
Second day – neck, shoulders
Day 3 – Heart
Fourth day – back
Fifth day – Dhuni
Sixth day – hips, secret organs
Seventh day – thigh
Eighth day – knees
Ninth day – Per
Tenth day – hunger, thirst
This elected phantom-body, unhappy with hunger, thirst, eats on the 11th, 12th day.
On the thirteenth day, the phantom body, clad in the wings of the eunuchs, walks like a captive monkey, dragging on the road of death.
The distance of Yama city is 86000 yojana (1 yojana = 15 km. Lag – Bhagal). And in one day and night, 247 yojanas have to be walked. 16 and on the way, many kinds of tortures, rare paths, terrible pains, after suffering for 11 months, the kingdom of Yama Raja begins. From there the road to Yama Nagari begins, which is more painful than this.
Many scholars are of the opinion that this phantom-spirit moves with the help of air and we can understand that the wind which carries the spirit-spirit, can be carried by many types of environment, such as smell, river, mountain, cold, heat. , Animals etc. have to go near. In the Garuda Purana, the Veterni river has been described in such a terrible form. Possibly this book, written in ancient times, has been described for the protection of the Brahmins and the cow at that time, to instill a celestial fear in the hearts of the common people. So that by donating cows and other donations to Brahmins, the illusion of destroying their sins remains.
How you take this philosophical idea is up to you.
17 days after leaving the dead body, on the 18th day the phantom body stops for rest in the first city and takes the food given by the son. In this way, doing all the cities, after reaching the city of Bahubhetpur, at the end of one year, the phantom body leaves its body and assumes the body of thumb size.
The phantom-soul, to enjoy its karma, along with Yama’s messengers, clad in pashbandhas, moves in the air.
There are four doors in the city of Yama Raj. Out of these, the sinful karmis leave from the South Duar towards the capital of Yama Raj.
